On Aug. 22, 23 and 24, some 125 incoming freshmen participated in the Dorothy Day Center for Service and Justice’s Urban Plunge program. The three-day initiative helps students learn about the socio-economic issues facing the Bronx, experience its cultural heritage, and participate in a day of service in the community.
