DESCRIPTION:The Louis Calder Center is the Fordham University biological field station—located north of New York City in Armonk\, Westchester County. It is the only full-time ecological research field station in the New York metropolitan area. \nThe Alumni Chapter of the Hudson Valley invites you to join us for a video presentation from Alissa Perrone\, the Center’s assistant director. This will be followed by a modest walking tour of the grounds (Including the on-site lake as well as the wooded area with its changing foliage). \nPlease note: wear appropriate footwear. \nSpace is limited\, and advance registration is required. RSVP by November 8. \nPlease consider making a gift of $25 or more to support an area of your choice at Fordham.

SUMMARY:Tour of the Louis Calder Center
DESCRIPTION:The outdoors are “Caldering” your name! Take a Friday morning to experience a part of Fordham you may have never seen before by touring the Louis Calder Center\, Fordham’s biological field station in Armonk\, New York. The two-hour tour led by Thomas J. Daniels\, Ph.D.\, director of the Louis Calder Center\, will cover the research and educational programs conducted at the Calder Center. \nThe group will travel by Ram Van\, departing at 8:30 a.m. from the Lincoln Center campus located at 140 West 62nd Street. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided to those who arrive a few minutes early. The Ram Van will bring attendees back to campus after the tour and will likely arrive around 1 p.m. \nThe total cost for the event is $20. Attendees must provide proof of vaccination upon registration. \nThis event is part of Forever Learning Week 2022.
