While these concepts are consistently demonstrated in community schools\, how they are lived out day-to-day can vary from district to district and from school to school. As practitioners in the field\, you are the experts in providing the perspective\, gaining the experience\, and sharing demonstrated success in how these pillars are embedded in your school’s programs. With a strong orientation toward the academic success of your students\, we invite you to join us for a day of learning\, sharing\, and networking that will provide you with actionable resources to bring back to your school. \nJoin us for a day of professional conversation facilitated by experienced school leaders who will engage you in critical thinking and active participation. This unique opportunity will allow the participants to lead the learning in a truly collaborative way. Planned topics for this first round of Critical Issues Conversations will include: collaborative leadership\, parental engagement\, relating the community school strategy to the classroom\, and a brief overview of the newly-created\, state-funded Community Schools Technical Assistance Center at Fordham University. \nA certificate of attendance and Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) credits will be awarded to the attendees.
