DESCRIPTION:The day of service is intended to be an introduction to our NYC community for Fordham students seeking short-term\, direct service opportunities. The focus of the day is the engagement and interaction between the Fordham students and the Cristo Rey students who are part of their IFTJ delegation. We begin the day with ice-breakers and an onsite reading that will be facilitated by Dean Rob Parmach\, and then move into small group discussion. The Bronx is Blooming provides a neutral backdrop and busy work for conversation and learning to take place between the participants. Prayer and reflection in small groups will be an integral part of the experience.

SUMMARY:#GetReel: Embracing Solidarity Creative Arts Festival
DESCRIPTION:What does solidarity mean to you? \nYou are invited to showcase Ignatian spirituality\, our Jesuit values\, the Fordham mission\, social justice\, and more at the Ignatian Week Creative Arts Festival. \nUse your Ignatian imagination to show the answer to this question in any creative way you want. Any genre can be used: short film (first-person narratives\, vlogs\, infographic videos\, docudramas\, shorts\, comedies\, etc.)\, dance\, visual art\, photography\, theatrical performance\, spoken word\, song\, and more. \nAny performance should be no more than five minutes in length ( there is no minimum length). If you choose film or another format that requires us to have the content prior to the festival\, please submit a link to your piece on the Google Form. If you choose another medium\, please send an advance copy of your text\, script\, imagery\, etc. to Erin Hoffman at ehoffman12@fordham.edu.
