We are welcoming Dr. Peter James Hudson from the University of California Los Angeles where he is associate professor of African American studies and history. Dr. Hudson works at the intersection of U.S. history and African diaspora and Caribbean cultural studies. He is the author of Bankers and Empire: How Wall Street Colonized the Caribbean (University of Chicago Press\, 2017). He will be talking about “The African Origins of Racial Capitalism.”
