DESCRIPTION:Join the Alumni Chapter of Chicago for a morning of service hosted by Big Shoulders Fund. Volunteers will be working at St. Catherine/St. Lucy School\, one of 75 schools supported by Big Shoulders Fund. Our group will be painting\, cleaning\, landscaping\, and organizing. Your time and energy will help make a difference in our schools. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow Chicago-area Fordham alumni and make a difference. \nPlease wear clothes you can get dirt and paint on. Light breakfast will be provided. \nRSVP by Monday\, January 27\, 2020. \nBig Shoulders Fund is an independent charitable organization that serves inner-city schools\, which provide a quality\, values-based education for Chicago’s children\, thereby contributing to stronger communities. All funds currently raised support four major areas—scholarships and enrichment\, operational improvements\, academic programs\, and leadership development—with the goal of strengthening schools and their communities\, as well as preparing students for lifelong success.
